Manufacture of metals, especially aluminium flakes, in a granular form. The equipment comprises the following: container which discharges molten metal onto a motor driven, rotating disc. Metal is flung against the wall of a cylindrical tank, and is collected. The sketch shows details as follows: a jacketed cylinder has a cooled inner wall (41). Cooling medium (80) is circulated through connections (43b and c). The axis of the cylinder (41a) is parallel with the axis of the rotating disc (20). |
