In a method for the labelling of objects made of plastic, a label is applied to an injection-moulded object, by inserting a preliminary stage of the injection moulded object together with the label in a mould part corresponding to the final shape of the production object. The preliminary stage of the injection-moulded object is expanded in the mould part and the label joined to the production object inside the mould part. The stiffness of the material of the label (3) causes the label (3) to spread open against the inner face of the main part (2) of the mould, and the label (3) is fixed in the main part (2) of the mould.
