1. Aluminium α-oxide consists of single crystalline particles of aluminium α-oxide. Characterized in that: The particles are homogenous and they have the shape of an octahedron or higher poyhedrons, characterised by the D/H ration between 1 and 2, where D refers to the maximum particle diameter, parallel to the heaxagonal lattice plane of a closely-packed lattice of the particles, while H refers to the diameter perpendicular to the the heaxagonal lattice plane. The average particle diameter is higher than 5 μm and lower than 30 μm.
