FIELD: fire extinguishing. SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in production of ammonia from natural gas at the stage of ethane-amine purification of converted gas by removing carbon dioxide. Foam-extinguisher contains mixture of compounds: <EMI ID=0.134 HE=12 WI=75 TI=CHI>, where n=20-60, which is formed at interaction of propylene oxide in alkali medium in presence of catalyst (NaOH or KOH) with azeotropic mixture of alcohols: C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>5</SB>(OCH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>3</SB>OH and H[OCH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>]<SB>2</SB>OH.
