The beams of a racking system are connected to the uprights by a generally trapezoidal securing means pressed out of the web 1 of the beam and including a bridge 2 and a hook 3. The bridge is continuous with the web at its upper and lower edges and protrudes from the web such that its apex is a little higher than the width of the web. The tongue is arranged at an angle (eg 10‹) to the web. The securing means is intended to mate with a corresponding trapezoidal hole 4 in an upright whereby both bridge and hook engage the walls of the hole and provide a shear function. |
