Two elongated fittings (2, 3) positioned one above the other can be moved in their length and height directions. The fittings are housed in a rail (4) which has its open side facing upwards. The top edge (8) of the rail is positioned at a greater height than the two fittings when they are both lowered as far as they can go. Sloping surfaces (7) are formed in opposing sides of the two fittings, so that length direction movement of the fittings relative to each other will raise one of the fittings to a height above the top edge of the rail. Drive mechanisms (5, 6) are present for moving the two fittings separately or together as a single unit. The clothes hangers (1) are hung from the top edge of the rail. |
