FIELD: mechanical engineering; antifriction bearings packed with grease. SUBSTANCE: bearing unit has end shield, antifriction bearing arranged on shaft, inner seal, oil deflecting ring, outer seal, oil trap, L-shaped strip secured by screws to seal. Oil trap is made in form of box with open top. Handle is fastened on box. Oil trap is held by strip and bolt joint of handle on end shield. Method of attachment of strip to seal makes it possible to control its position in height owing to use of threaded fasteners and provision of elongated hole for fasteners in strip. Inner space of seal in its lower part has outlet for lubricant thrown by ring into oil trap. EFFECT: reduced materials usage and labour input in manufacture, reduced overall dimensions and increased reliability of unit in operation. 2 cl, 2 dwgF
