The sign post (10) includes a measuring position arrangement fastened in its interior (16) and comprising a clamping plate (9). The wall (17) of the post has at least one aperture (3) which is closeable by a cover plate (4). Supports (1) are arranged at least in sections of the edge (8) of the apertures, preferably at an interior wall (18) of the post, and project into the area of the aperture. The cover plate is sealingly attached in its closed condition to the outer wall (19) of the post, and is held at the aperture by the supports.
