Military helmet

The helmet consists of a shell (1) of textile laminates, and a protective profile (6) around its circumferential edge (2). The profile is a self-supporting component and is connected to the shell via mechanical fasteners (9), so that accessories may be attached to it. The shell and profile enclose a free inner chamber. The profile projects from the shell contour by at least 5 mm. The edge of the shell has a stepped section (3), and in this area the profile is of greater height and has a separate fastener.
