The invention concerns a bicycle crank gear for reducing effort, and bicycle equipped with same, comprising a crank and pedal set (2) driving in rotation at least one gear wheel (15, 15a), said gear wheel (15, 15a) being mounted centred on the crank gear axis (6), members driving (22) the gear wheel (15, 15a) in rotation. The invention is characterised in that it comprises an effort reducing set including: a series of planet wheels (22) as members directly driving the gear wheel (15, 15a), said planet wheels being arranged concentric and freely rotating about the axis (6) and being set between: a fixed planetary gear (25) linked to the crank gear and a toothed chain ring (20) supporting said gear wheel (15, 15a) and mounted rotating freely and concentric to the axis (6) about the peripheral surface of the planet wheels (22). The invention is more particularly designed to equip a bicycle.
