The arrangement has a casing (1) for a holder (4), which contains spectrally matched luminescence or laser diodes (2) arranged at an angle to each other, a photoreceiver (3) and evaluation electronics (5). An indicator substance (10) is introduced into the holder. Colour changes (11) of the indicator substance caused by absorption of the components of the gases or liquids are detected by changes in the reflection or transmission properties of the indicator substance with the aid of the optoelectronic measurement arrangement and electronics. The changes are indicated using a luminescence diode (8) or an alarm output (7).
