The heat exchanger has heat exchange channels (1,2) with a rectangular cross-section (3,3,4,5), running in their central sections in a straight line, locating one on the other and firmly connected to each other. The channels have alternating straight-line end sections angled away from the same side. The end sections via outer flange connections can be connected to bent channel end pieces. The channel end pieces conduct the heat exchange medium by altering the flow direction through 180 deg from one heat exchange channel to another (1,2).
