The device has at least one wheel and an attachment unit with a corresponding holder. A bonding means is provided between the side of the wheel facing the sealing layer and the layer itself. The attachment unit engages the middle of the wheel and is driven far enough into the under lay that the wheel is pressed against the underlay and the bonding means is suitably compressed. The surface of the wheel facing the sealing layer is inclined towards the outer edge of the wheel, and part of the bonding means is transported on the edge of the wheel and into the underlay.
