A multipole electrical component (C) is rotated about an axis of rotation (A) which is perpendicular to the plane of its terminals (T). A linear sensor (S) is disposed, for example, radially to the axis of rotation (A) and receives light from a light source (L) which is disposed, for example, obliquely above the terminals (T). The terminals (T) are rotated in succession into the projection region and measured. In this way, the complexity of the structure required for optically determining the position of the terminals (T) is reduced. |
