Ophthalmological instrument for surgical operation

The shaft (2) of the instrument is inserted into the front chamber of the eye via a tunnel. A blade (3) can then be slid out of the tip of the instrument shaft and makes a circular cutting line (4) in the eye of a diameter of e.g. 6 millimetres. After the opening process and placing the blade on the front capsule (5) of the lens the blade makes a precise, round cut on the capsule and can then be retracted into the shaft of the instrument. An opening (9) in the handle (1) of the implement provides a flow of operating solution fluid.
