Solar cell with housing top and bottom part

The cell includes a conductor (4) containing a plug-in current conductor pole (5). The housing bottom part (1) is of opaque, non-conductive material, such as ceramic, plastics, or glass. It comprises an all round inner rabbet for retaining the housing top part (2). The bottom part has a bore in one side wall or bottom for a cable in the conductive pole. The housing top part is of transparent material, such as plastics or glass and is air-tightly secured in the bottom part rabbet by an external, all round rabbet. Pref. the current generator (3) consists of silicon granulate of different grain size, potassium iodide, and magnesium powder in identical proportional parts.
