<p>A multichannel peristaltic pump comprises a multiplicity of elastomeric pump tubes (1), acted upon by a common inlet valve member (2) and a common discharge valve member (4), conveniently formed as transverse bars that occlude the pump tubes (1) between the inlet valve and discharge valve form a plurality of pumping chambers, one for each pump tube, which are acted upon by a common displacer (3), conveniently formed as a rectangular plate. Sequencing of the inlet and discharge valves, and the displacer (3) is facilitated by cams (11 and 12). Each channel of the pump is provided with an individually movable section of pump frame (7), the position of which can be adjusted by a sliding wedge (8). By adjustment of the movable sections of pump frame (7), the volume of fluid delivered by each channel can be individually trimmed with respect to the others to ensure accurate balancing of the flow through each channel.</p> |
