Compact monopulse source for an antenna with optical focusing

The monopulse antenna construction has two waveguides (41,42) side by side on a metallic base (25) for feeding antennas. The waveguides are fed by narrow height waveguide sections (47,48) with a backing short circuit and microstrip transitions (44,45). The transitions are placed between the change of height of the waveguides. The transitions are fed by a symmetrical feed from a hybrid ring, forming sum and difference monopulse patterns.
