An electromagnetic wave-shielding material is obtained by adding conductive filler to a rubber material or a plastic material and by adding sulfur in an amount of from 4 to 16 weight parts relative to 100 weight parts of the rubber or plastic material. The electromagnetic wave-shielding material can block off the electromagnetic wave in the high frequency band. A sheet and a cable cover formed of the electromagnetic wave-shielding material and an electric wire or cable, in which a core wire is covered with the electromagnetic wave-shielding material have a good electromagnetic wave-shielding property, a suitable flexibility and an excellent handling property. They can easily be manufactured in low cost and space saving can be achieved.
