PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variance in the quantity of light of the liquid-crystal projector without reducing the dynamic range. SOLUTION: This liquid-crystal projector is provided with dichroic mirrors 18R, 18G, and 18B for the red light, green light, and blue light among the light from a light source 11 which reflect them. Further, the liquid-crystal projector is provided with a color liquid crystal panel 21 which receives the color lights from those dichroic mirrors 18R, 18G, and 18B and is driven with a color video signal and a projection lens 22 which projects the output light of the color liquid-crystal panel 21 on a screen. On the optical path of at least one of the blue light, red light, and green light, an absorption type ND filter 31G is provided which reduces the quantity of the color light. This ND filter 31G corrects the intensity of the color light passing through the ND filter 31G. |
