DISPLAY METHOD FOR DATA BASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To understand object data and to retrieve relative data by displaying the parent-child relation between the parent node of data in tree structure and nodes and leaves included it in an overlap state of plate type objects and objects representing the contents of the data. SOLUTION: 'Including' areas are represented as plate type objects 712 and 713 and 'included' objects 714 to 716 are arranged above or below the plates. When one object 713 is included in another object 712, the included object 713 is displayed in an overlap state cutting the including object 712. Thus, the parent-child relation is represented by overlaps of objects without using connection lines to evade a confusing display even when connection lines are needed for other reasons and makes the display where the parent-child relation is easy to grasp even if the viewpoint position of the display changes.
