PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a translation result and an untranslated part discriminatingly at the same time. SOLUTION: Relating to the machine translation system wherein a user terminal machine 21 takes a translation original text out of a translation original text providing device 22 and requests a translation server 23 to translate the original text, the translation server 23 has translation processing means 231 to 235 which translates the translation original text from the translation original text providing device into a desired language and untranslated part merging means 234 and 236 which merges the original text of an untranslated part with the translation result when receiving an indication for translation interruption during the translation. The user terminal machine 21 has a control means 214 which specifies the translation original text that the translation original text providing device has and requests the translation server to translate it and translation result display means 214 and 213 which displays the translation result from the translation server and the original text of the untranslated part at the same time and makes it possible to confirm up to which place the original text is translated.
