PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize active maintenance in adapter block units mounted with adapters by the information processor without stopping an adapter function. SOLUTION: In a processor part 3, a memory 5 is provided with an initial value table wherein which of doubled control adapters is defined as a main or subordinate system and a state table wherein the current state of each control adapter is set to one of main-system, subordinate-system and fault states. Then a CPU 4 performs control for detecting a fault of a control adapter during operation, switching the faulty adapter, and rewriting the state table into the current state and control for checking the state table in off-line timing and switching all control adapters other than the faulty adapter in the adapter block to subordinate systems and all control adapters in the other adapter block to main systems if only the adapter block of one system gets out of order. |
