PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new gene encoding the variable region of a heavy chain or the variable region of a light chain of an antibody recognizing estradiol, and useful for production of a chimera antibody, or production of an antibody for measuring estradiol in blood reflecting an ovarian function. SOLUTION: This gene is a new gene encoding the variable region of a heavy chain or the variable region of a light chain having an amino acid sequence of formulas I and II and recognizing estradiol, and is used for mass production of an antibody widely used in clinic for measuring an estradiol value in the peripheral vessel reflecting an ovarian function by inserting the gene into an expression plasmid of a chimera antibody, and culturing a host transformed by the plasmid. The gene is obtained by forming a hybridoma producing a monoclonal antibody recognizing the estradiol by a conventional method, extracting an mRNA from the hybridoma, changing the mRNA to a cDNA, and amplifying the cDNA by a PCR, etc. |
