PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the response speed of a PDP by providing a priming feed source on a back substrate side, accumulating the charged particles fed from it on an AC type structural electrode on the display side as wall charges corresponding to an image, and making a continuous memory display discharge with the wall charges. SOLUTION: Stripe-like anodes 8 are formed on a back glass 9 side, stripe- like barrier ribs 7 are formed on the back glass 9 in parallel with the anodes 8, and spaces are partitioned for the anodes 8. Cathodes 6 are extended in the direction perpendicular to the anodes 8 and stripe-like barrier ribs 7, and they are formed on an insulating layer covering a holed metal sheet to be partially exposed to the inner wall faces of small holes 12. Lattice-like barrier ribs 4 are formed on the holed metal sheet to surround the small holes 12, a phosphor 5 is applied to the wall faces of the lattice-like barrier ribs 4 and the upper face of the holed metal sheet, and stripe-like display electrodes 2 are formed on a front glass 1. |
