PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new mammalian DD-1 gene including a nucleic acid having high identity with a nucleic acid encoding DD-1 polypeptide of a specific sequence, and used for production of the DD-1 useful for therapeutic protocol design, diagnosis, etc., of neuronosis, cancer, autoimmune disease, etc. SOLUTION: This new mammalian DD-1 gene is a newly isolated polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide having at least 80% identity along the whole length with a nucleotide sequence encoding DD-1 polypeptide having an amino acid sequence of the formula, or a nucleotide sequence complementary with the nucleotide sequence, and is used for production of the DD-1 polypeptide useful for design of therapeutic protocol of neurological degenerated disorder, aplastic anemia, polycystic kidney, osteoporosis, chronic degenerated liver disease, cancer, autoimmune disease and rheumatic arthritis, and diagnostic assay of these symptom, etc. The polynucleotide is obtained by screening a plaque derived from human myelic cDNA library. |
