PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin mortar excellent in bending strength and compressive strength and less liable to the reduction of the strengths after immersion in water by using unsatd. polyester resin, aggregate, a hardening agent and a specified amt. of a defoaming agent. SOLUTION: This resin mortar consists of unsatd. polyester resin (A) such as ortho type unsatd. polyester resin contg. a vinyl acetate type low shrinking agent, aggregate (B) such as sand and CaCO3 , a hardening agent (C) such as methyl ethyl ketone peroxide and 0.01-3 pts.wt. defoaming agent (D), preferably 0.01-0.5 pt.wt., especially 0.03-0.3 pt.wt. silicone defoaming agent or 0.1-3 pts.wt., especially 0.5-2 pts.wt. thermoplastic polymer type defoaming agent such as 30 wt.% polystyrene soln. The wt. average mol.wt. of the thermoplastic polymer is preferably 1,000-1,000,000. The pref. amts. of the components A, B and C are 100 pts.wt., 200-600 pts.wt. and 0.5-5 pts.wt., respectively, and the especially pref. amts. of the components B and C are 300-500 pts.wt. and 1-4 pts.wt., respectively. |
