PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take out and scatter light propagating through a polymer optical fiber(POF) in controlable forms by providing dispersing elements arranged in a cutting area so that light disperse before light whose directions are deviated collides with them and escapes from the side face of optical fiber. SOLUTION: When light moving in the POF 100 collides with internal mirrors 130, 135, the light changes the direction. For example, light moving in one line of the POF 100 collides with the mirrors 130, 135 to be respectively deflected as shown by arrows 146, 144. Similarly, light 145 at the time the lights collides with mirrors 130, 135 are respectively deflected in directions shown by arrows 142, 148. Since a cutting and refilling area 120 acts as an outlet and a takeoff conveniently, light 142, 148 can escape from the POF 100. Then, the outlet has bidirectivity and light is easily introduced from the side face of the POF. That is, introduced light collides with the mirrors to propagate through the one line of the optical fiber and it disperses or it can be taken out from a next takeoff. |
