PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature controller for preventing an increase in temperature above a given allowable level at an eddy current generating coil in an eddy current brake. SOLUTION: In a temperature controller, temperatures at eddy current generating coils 51a to 58a are detected by a coil temperature sensor 11. When the temperature of the eddy current generating coils 51a to 58a detected by the coil temperature sensor 11 is increased above a given allowable level, the quantity in continuity to the eddy current generating coils 51a to 58a is reduced under control of a continuity limiting device 12. As a result, a calorific value of the eddy current generating coils 51a to 58a can be reduced, thereby preventing overheat of the eddy current generating coils 51a to 58a. |
