PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent a backward creep movement of a vehicle by setting delivery capacity of a variable displacement hydraulic motor to a prescribed value when the vehicle is put in a stopping condition and a shift position is also in an advance or retreat position, and controlling capacity so that delivery capacity of a variable displacement hydraulic pump becomes prescribed capacity according to the shift position. SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission unit 2 to constitute a hydraulic continuously variable transmission T together with a mechanical transmission unit 1, is composed of a variable displacement hydraulic pump 24 and a hydraulic motor 25, and a vehicle is driven by motive power of the hydraulic motor 25. In this case, when a vehicle stopping condition is detected and the fact that a shift position is in an advance or retreat position is also detected by a shift position detecting means, motor capacity on which delivery capacity of the hydraulic motor 25 becomes a prescribed value (> 0) is set. It is controlled so that delivery capacity of the hydraulic pump 24 becomes prescribed capacity according to a detected shift position. Therefore, at idling time in a vehicle stopping condition, the hydraulic motor 25 is locked and held, and a movement of the vehicle is checked. |
