PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a workpiece in grinding work with one-touch operation. SOLUTION: In a workpiece drive device for supporting a workpiece W by a center 4 on a main spindle 1 side and a center 5 on a tail stock 3 side, and for rotating the workpiece W by a rotational driving means, clamp cylinders 11a, 11b for inserting one end of the workpiece W to the tip side of the main spindle 1 into the non-rotational state and provided with a non-circular part are rotatably fitted, the clamp cylinders 11a, 11b are rotated with the start of the rotational driving means, and the workpiece W inserted into the clamp cylinders 11a, 11b is driven. The clamp cylinders 11a, 11b are formed into a double structure of the clamp outer cylinder 11a and a clamp inner cylinder 11b, and therefore, different shaped workpiece W can be coped with changing only the clamp inner cylinder 11b. |
