PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly cause positive ghost and to output an excellent image over a long term by eliminating the clogging of a 1st contact electrifying member as an electrifying auxiliary member with a contaminant such as toner or paper powder in a contact electrifying system using the electrifying auxiliary member and a cleanerless system image forming device. SOLUTION: In the case of discharging the toner or adhesive matter accumulated on the 1st contact electrifying member 6 to an image carrier when an image is not formed, the surface potential of the part of an image carrier between a transfer means 4 and the member 6 is made larger to the regular electrifying polarity side of the image carrier 1 than developing bias for a developing means 31, and bias impressed on the member 6 is the regular electrifying polarity of the image carrier and is made larger to the regular electrifying side of the image carrier than the surface potential of the part of the image carrier between the transfer means 4 and the member 6. |
