PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength variable laser device, which is capable of outputting CW(continuous wave) laser rays of practical power in a wide wavelength range of 210 to 100 nm by a method, wherein CW laser rays of practical output power in wavelength range from 210 to 370 nm are obtained. SOLUTION: Wavelength variable laser devices 10 to 12 are composed of an argon ion laser, a dye laser, and a second harmonic generator. Wavelength variable laser devices 20 to 22 are composed of a YAg-2ωlaser, a dye laser, and a second harmonic generator. Wavelength variable laser devices 30 to 32 are composed of a YAW-2ωlaser 210, a titanium sapphire laser, and a second harmonic generator.
