PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load for a rail, reduce the wear of the rail and remove sand and earth accumulated on the rail by providing a recess part on the rail contact face of a pressing feeding body sliding on the rail and supplying compressed air. SOLUTION: A rail 4 is provided right and left of a ground 2 with regard to a propulsion machine burying a sewer and the like in non-open excavation, and a pressing feeding body 3 is slidably disposed. The pressing feeding body 3 slides on the rail 4 by a hydraulic cylinder, a buried pipe is pressed and propelled, and an excavation cutter and an earth removal screw are rotated and excavated by a motor. A recess part 3b of 60 mm×200 mm is formed on the contact face part 3a with the upper face of the rail 4 of the pressing feeding body 3, and compressed air of 5 kg/cm<2> is supplied. The pressing feeding body 3 of weight of 1200 kg is slightly floated from the upper face of the rail to reduce load, wear of the rail by sliding of the pressing feeding body 3 is reduced, and sand and earth accumulated on the rail 4 is removed by the air jetted to be leaked from the recess part 3 to smooth advancement and retraction of the pressing feeding body 3.
