PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup, for an optical disk apparatus, which is provided with a laser light source exclusively used for reproducing a DVD and with a laser light source exclusively used for reproducing a CD, which is low-cost, small and lightweight and whose reliability is high. SOLUTION: A method is constituted of a first light source 11, of a second light source 12, of an objective lens 15 by which different light beams 31, 32 are focused on the surface of prescribed optical information recording mediums 21, 22 and of a wavelength filter 14 which is installed between the objective lens 15 and the light sources. In this case, the wavelength filter 14 is constituted in such a way that the first light beam 31 is transmitted through a first region 42 formed in the wavelength filter 14 and that it cannot be transmitted through a prescribed region 44 formed nearly in the central part of a second region 41. On the other hand, it is constituted in such a way that the second light beam 32 can be transmitted through only the second region 41 which is narrower than the first region 42. |
