摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve current collecting performance of an active material and a base board, and improve high efficiency discharge performance by forming a positive electrode plate by holding a nickel hydroxide active material covered with a compound mainly composed of Co not more than bivalence by a three-dimensional porous body covered with the compound mainly composed of Co not more than bivalance. SOLUTION: A nickel hydroxide active material covered with a compound mainly composed of Co not more than bivalance is held by a three-dimensional porous body such as foaming nickel covered with the compound mainly composed of Co not more than bivalence to form a paste type nickel hydroxide positive electrode plate. The quantity of the compound which covers the three-dimensional porous body and is mainly composed of Co not more than bivalance is desirable to be 1 to 14 wt.% to a nickel hydroxide. The quantity of the compound which covers the nickel hydroxide and is mainly composed of Co not more than bivanalce is desirable to be 1 to 14 wt.% to the nickel hydroxide. This positive electrode plate is wound in a spiral shape through a negative electrode plate and a separator, and an electrode liquid is added to form a sealed nickel-cadmium battery or the like.
