PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit the overcurrent between a DC voltage network for a high- voltage DC(HVDC) and an AC voltage network connected to the DC voltage network through a station. SOLUTION: A station is made applicable so as to excecute the transmission of electric power between a DC voltage network 1 and an AC voltage network 5 and includes at least one VSC converter 9, which is made applicable so as to convert the DC voltage to the AC voltage and vice versa. In the DC network 1, the device, wherein at least one nonconducting type semiconductor element 14 and a surge-current dividing adder-subtractor device 15 are connected in parallel, is connected. When the current exceeds the preset value, the semiconductor elements are alternately made nonconductive, and control is performed so that an overcurrent does not flow. |
