PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of print quality by restraining longitudinal movement which occurs when a paper feed roller rotates. SOLUTION: This paper feeder has a regulation means formed by attaching to a paper feed roller 9 a roller locking ring 1 whose notched part has a small opening angle 28. Thus, even if the center shaft of a bearing 3 and the rotating shaft of the paper feed roller 9 are tilted, the longitudinal movement of the paper feed roller 9 is restrained because of the small opening angle 2θof the notched part of the roller locking ring 1, and movement of paper is restrained during printing, with the result that the accuracy of positioning a printing medium that clings is enhanced and that deterioration of print quality can be prevented.
