FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of oligomeric polyetheracyllactams containing, as admixture, less than 0.5 wt % bis- acyllactam of formula: <EMI ID=0.97 HE=15 WI=48 TI=CHI> wherein Z is polyoxyalkylene polyoxyl with molecular weight from 2000 to 7000 with functionality of 2 or 3 wherein Ar is 1,3 or 1,4- phenylene, n is 2 or 3, d is 5 or 3; polyol to monofunctional alcohol to dichloroanhydride to lactam ratios of 1: (0.05-0.2):(1.6-1.9):(0.4-0.8). If weight ratio of biacyllactam in polyetheracyllactam is less than 0.5%, impact viscosity of the resulting of polycaproamide does not decrease and bis-terephthalylcaprolactam does not precipitate.
