FIELD: heat engineering; construction of heat exchange apparatus. SUBSTANCE: longitudinal vortices are formed above heat-exchange surface by laying radial flow caused by revolving disks on incoming flow due to positioning them above heat-exchange surface at distance ranging from b/5 to 2b; disks are located in parallel relative to each other at distance b within the following range: d<b<10d, where <EMI ID=0.110 HE=6 WI=21 TI=CHI> for laminar flow and d = r(0.05+5(log(Re))<SP>-2.7</SP>) for turbulent flow; b is distance between disks, m; sigma is angular velocity of rotation of disks (rad/s); V is kinematic viscosity of incoming flow, sq.m/s; r is radius of disks, m; Re = r<SP>2</SP>sigma/v is Reynolds number; line tangent to line of intersection of heat-exchange surface and arbitrary plane parallel to plane of disks coincides with vector of incoming flow velocity in direction. EFFECT: increased extraction of heat from unit of heat-exchange surface.
