The process comprises the following stages. A hollow shaft 100 is made with an external toothed driving profile (110) for a pinion. A pinion washer (210) is made having an internal toothed profile (213) congruent with the external profile of the hollow shaft. The pinion washer is engaged in the external profile of the shaft. The external toothed profile of the shaft is formed by grooves made by direct extrusion of a metal tube in a screwing matrix. This profile is hardened by high frequency induction treatment at the tops of the grooves. |
