The awning comprises a support which is fixed to a wall or other rigid surface, a front bar (4) which is connected to the support by articulated arms (5), and a roll-up sheet (6) which extends from the support to the front bar. It has one mechanism for adjusting the angle of the awning and another (15) for regulating and fixing the front bar (4) in a well-defined angular position. The front bar (4) is connected to the ends (18) of the articulated arms by pivots (19) lying parallel to the bar and engaging with couplings (20, 21) and hinges (15). The position of the front bar is adjusted by regulators (16) and fixed in place by locking members (17).
