PURPOSE: To prevent an automobile passing or overtaking another automobile running ahead from colliding with the door of the automobile ahead which has been opened for some reason. CONSTITUTION: An automobile door-lighting/flashing and light-emitting device comprises an incandescent bulb 1a arranged at a backward gap part 2 on an automobile door 1, electric equipment for feeding lighting currents to the bulb 1a, and a luminous paint coating the gap part 2. Opening the door 1 lights the bulb 1a on to thus indicate, together with the paint, its presence ahead to other automobiles running behind.
