FIELD: silicon production. SUBSTANCE: silicon produced in ore-thermal furnaces is isolated from charge by separating the latter into two parts: first quartzite, oil coke, coal, and part of chips are weighed and agitated, and the rest of chips is combined with charcoal at volume ratio (2-3):1, after which the second part of charge is first loaded into furnace throat followed by the first part. Loading of the second part is directed into the charge active- descent zone. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 3 clc
