FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities; conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: belt conveyor idler has belt supporting rollers, for instance, middle and side rollers, whose axles are coupled with conveyor frame by means of brackets, each provided with slot for engagement with end of roller axle. Frame has angle plate arranged across conveyor frame with its top pointed up. Each bracket is made in form of cast post with head, rib and base arranged at one side from outer vertical plane of post. Slot for engagement with end of roller axle is made in bracket head. Base of bracket has the shape of equal angle plate straddling angle plate of frame and secured on its webs. Bracket rib rests on outer surface of bracket base. EFFECT: reduced labour input in manufacture, reduced service expenses, increased reliability and service life. 4 dwgi
