FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: cutting tip has on its lower surface parallel grooves; holder has parallel ribs to be inserted into grooves of tip. Cutting tip is secured to holder by means of screw in such a way that edge effect is provided between grooves and ribs as lower side of cutting tip does not achieve flat separating surfaces between ribs and upper portions of ribs do not touch base of grooves. EFFECT: stable and clearance-free mounting of cutting tips in holders, elimination of high-cost aftergrinding operation needing large-time period and also elimination of resting surfaces or points in pocket of tool. 4 cl, 7 dwg
