SUBSTANCE: each time when deicing installation is turned on, portion of aperiodic component of melting current is measured and then installation is turned off as soon as this portion greatly reduces; aperiodic component measurement time is chosen in proportion to conductor cross-sectional area so as to ensure equal sensitivity for conductors of all sectional areas.
