(METH)ACRYLIC RESIN COMPOSITION FOR THERMOSET INJECTION MOLDING, PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE COMPOSITION, AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MOLDINGS OF (METH)ACRYLIC RESINS

A (meth)acrylic resin composition for thermoset injection molding which comprises (a) a (meth)acrylic monomer, (b) a (meth)acrylic polymer and (c) an inorganic filler and exhibits a spiral flow distance of 400 to 1600 mm; a process for the preparation of the above composition useful as BMC by using part or the whole of the component (b) as the thickening agent; and a process for the production of moldings of (meth)acrylic resins by subjecting a (meth)acrylic resin composition comprising the components (a), (b) and (c) to thermoset injection molding. The composition and the preparation process are useful for the production of moldings of (meth)acrylic resins which are excellent in appearance, resistances to heat, boiling water and chemicals, dimensional stability, vibration-damping properties and so on.
