IMPROVED METHOD TO CURE ENDLESS TRACK BELTS AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

A method of curing large endless track rubber belts uses a multi-platen mold assembly (3) with a pair of fully supporting indexing wheels (8), non-preformed lug preparation and a postforming cavity pressure reduction to provide cured tracks with non-deformed reinforcing members while avoiding the extrusion of rubber compound out of the ends of the molds. Also provided is an apparatus for curing large endless track belts having fully supporting indexing wheels (8).
