The invention relates to a load adjusting device comprising an element which modifies an area through which air flows (4), especially a valve mounted on a shaft (5). The element can be driven according to given parameters by an actuator which is optionally placed underneath and is provided with a position sensor (12) which emits a signal indicating the position of said element. The invention is characterized in that the position sensor (12) is arranged in an area of the actuator.
